In depth
Verdict
CIRCUMSTANCES scored over 1m3f at Dundalk and was only caught close home over slightly shorter at Down Royal. She's a tough filly who looks capable of winning from higher marks than this so gets the nod. Hail ran his best race to date over this C&D last month when the faster ground was a help. He should go well again here though he's becoming expensive to follow. Buy Back Bob has been racing in much better class and has to be of interest despite a huge weight while Much Acclaimed was in tremendous form at this time a year ago though he hasn't run since a moderate effort over hurdles in April. None of the remaining quartet can be discounted in an open handicap.
