Verdict

Monotype has been chasing without success since landing last year’s renewal and should be in the mix again. Sole Pretender won on faster ground at Ballinrobe recently but has been raised 11lb for his trouble while Arcenfete has failed to complete in a couple of outings since recording a double over fences last year. But the latter’s stablemate THREE STARS (NAP) found only Tombstone, rated 146, too good reverting to hurdling at Leopardstown last month and a bold bid is expected from Henry De Bromhead’s charge back in a handicap today. Oscars Den has something to find with the selection on latest running with Like An Open Book perhaps best of the remainder.
