Though probably flattered by his fourth in a Grade 1 at Leopardstown in February, DANCING ON MY OWN had earlier placed at the same track and also at Navan. He weakened out of contention when a hot favourite at Galway in July but this is much less competitive. Champagne Paddy, a bumper winner in 2017, hasn’t raced since May of last year but may have more scope than stable companion Guttural. Conflated made it fifth-time lucky in a Clonmel bumper in March but it is almost certain that he doesn’t take high rank among the Gigginstown novices.
