Verdict

Captain Cattistock showed promise at Chepstow before winning a novice event over a longer trip here in November. The handicapper has taken no chances with Paul Nicholls’ five-year-old on his handicap debut but he’s lightly-raced and Bryony Frost takes off 5lb. Bridget Andrews claims a similar amount on Kempton third Hurricane Hollow but he races over a longer trip for the first time since 2015. HERE’S HERBIE was travelling best when falling two out at Exeter on his penultimate start. He was then third at Taunton in a race which developed into a bit of a sprint and it could be his turn today. On The Road hasn’t had much luck in staying chases recently but his record over hurdles speaks for itself and he won’t be far away if there is a decent pace but Justification has been out of sorts this season.
