There are not many that can be given chances here with Norma Hill getting the nod over Cunning Pursuit and Specotia. The selection is the most experienced of these over hurdles and has won two of her last three races. The form is reasonable enough - certainly in the context of what looks a fairly routine affair for the track - and she should go well. The Nicky Henderson-trained Cunning Pursuit won a low-grade ten-furlong Folkestone affair in September and, sure to have been well schooled, should also feature in this contest. In truth, the others have shown very little so, by virtue of the fact that he is trained by this track's leading handler, Paul Nicholls, Specotia, who showed little in three runs on the Flat, has to be considered. However, overall, the vote stays with Norma Hill.
