Verdict
Much as Kingsbay has a good chance of following up her Windsor win, we will opt for How Great Thou Art in the finale, while there a few that could be considered for minor placings. The Philip Hobbs-trained selection put in a workmanlike effort to win at Hereford last time, on his first run for his new trainer. Despite being raised six pounds for that, he can improve again for this longer trip and, despite the fact that stable jockey Richard Johnson is on Walsingham, he can go well in bidding to follow up that success. Kingsbay won well at Windsor last time over three miles but this free-going filly will not mind the drop in trip and must also be afforded plenty of respect. There are not too many that can be fancied from lower in the weights, although Off The Seal appeared to put in an improved effort last time, Barbury Hill also improved last time and can do so again over this longer trip, Moorland Monarch has hinted at ability and should be sharper for his seasonal return, and Starlight Express is lightly raced and could well have better to come. Overall, though, we like the look of the pair we have mentioned and, of them, How Great Thou Art gets the nod.
