Verdict

Dieu Benisse would have finished ahead of Penny Poet had she not fallen here on Boxing Day and would have again been placed at worst but for another tumble at Ludlow. She’s entitled to go close today with a clear round but Paul Nicholls clearly has no qualms about pitching the four-year-old MIRANDA in against older mares after making a winning start with a nice turn of foot at Ludlow. Saumur, a dual winner on the Flat, showed some promise behind Emitom at Lingfield but Sweet Adare’s second at Taunton came over a longer trip. Perfect Myth looks the pick of the remainder.
