In depth
Verdict
Le Jaguar finally got his head in front over fences last time and can follow up here today at the expense of Tom Sayers and Menphis Beury. The Paul Nicholls trained five-year-old only had to jump round to win last time when beating Charm Offensive by a distance. That will have done his confidence the world of good and although this is a big step up in class, on previous placed efforts he should go very close off today's mark. Tom Sayers is the main threat having secured novice victories at Taunton and Newbury. The handicapper has been pretty fair and the hat-trick is not out of the question. Memphis Beury unseated his rider at Worcester last time but has previously chased home Kittenkat in a competitive event and should be in the shake up today. The best of the remainder should be Eva So Charming, but Le Jaguar does have a touch of class and can help Nicholls in his quest for the trainers title.
