This is the most difficult race on the card to assess and Anshabil is a token selection, Cimmaroon and Periwinkle Lad are put forward as two others that should be involved in the finish. The pick of Anshabil's runes was a fourth placing behind It's Just Harry at Hereford last November. He was beaten a fair way, but to his credit, he stayed on to make the frame after looking in trouble at the end of the back stretch. He looks to have been crying out for this trip and we could see plenty of improvement. Cimmaroon reverts to hurdling following an excellent effort when a close third to Home James over fences at Huntingdon. He does have to shoulder top-weight, but should still be thereabouts. Periwinkle Lad hasn't reproduced his excellent handicap run from last season when second to Kitte Ou Double, but he has been running better than what his form figures suggest. After three starts he could be spot on for this and may go well at a decent price. Robyn Alexander may prove best of the others, but in a very open event Anshabil just gets the verdict.
