In depth
Verdict
Tarboush will not have many better opportunities to open his account and is finally taken to do so with Craobh Rua and Grand Prompt rated the main dangers. The selection, three times a winner on the level, has been running with credit in handicaps of late and this looks an easier assignment than some of those recent efforts. It says a lot for the quality of the opposition to the selection that Craobh Rua is rated the main danger. Robert Alner's gelding has though been highly tried recently and this represents a drop in class. Grand Prompt has failed to complete in his last two starts but has claims on his best along with Murdinga, while flat recruit Devil's Teardrop could be interesting on his debut. However, Tarboush has solid claims and gets the vote.
