Verdict
A costly failure at Newton Abbot, Jolly Giant will be trying to put matters right here. He appeared to lose his confidence there after making some early mistakes and the very testing conditions may have had something to do with that. It would come as no surprise if this better surface bought about some improvement. Favoured Option has been knocking on the door in a couple of minor events and he should run well without quite being good enough to win. A chance is taken with former Hunter Chase winner Swincombe, who doesn't look badly treated off his current mark off 100. Restless Wind and the lightly weighted Four Mile Clump are others to consider in an open contest.
