In depth
Verdict
Bambi De L'Orme gets the nod in the feature race ahead of Jarro, Master Rex and Giorgio. Ian Williams' representative was unlucky to run into such a progressive type as Oneway at Haydock last time out and having finished clear of the remainder, we believe that there is enough scope to land a contest of this magnitude. Jarro won a tactical race at Windsor on soft ground eight days ago. He is clearly going the right way but the race timing suggested that the form should be treat with some caution. Giorgio was not the soundest of jumpers when with Philip Hobbs but the switch to Bridget Nicholls saw him visit the winners enclosure again. This is a much tougher assignment this afternoon. Master Rex is a tricky ride who will be played late as he tends to find little if put infront too early. Toulouse has had his training troubles but remains well-treated vis-a-vis his hurdling form. A decent prize in the offing and Bambi De L'Orme has an obvious chance to gain compensation for a near-miss.
