In depth

Verdict

Luscious Lips gets the nod over the slightly more experienced Carolina Blini, with Bahamarama and newcomers Kinlochard and Night Robe worth a mention. An interesting maiden to start proceedings can go the way of one of the two Richard Hannon runners Luscious Lips who has improved with each outing. The filly had the misfortune to line up against the very highly-rated Rocking here last time, and had earlier finished third in a decent Newmarket maiden, so must have leading claims tonight. Carolina Blini was runner-up at Lingfield last time, with Bahamarama a place behind. The latter now lines up on 5lb better terms, and could easily turn the tables. Both have to cope with the rain-softened ground though and are worth taking on. Newcomers Kinlochard and Night Robe are interesting newcomers, and any support for either should be heeded, but for the winner we look to the progressive Luscious Lips.
