        Verdict

        Celtique is narrowly preferred to Italic and Gambling Spirit. Celtique is not the most straight forward of individuals but there was plenty of money for her prior to her recent victory and provided that Michael Wigham has been able to keep her sweet in the interim, there is an obvious chance of a follow-up now that she is back on turf. Italic did not quite get home at Goodwood and while it is harsh to suggest she was worried out of it by the winner - there are sure to be plenty of supporters this evening. Gambling Spirit is a regular over 12 furlongs and wins in her turn. She produced a below par effort over course-and-distance and is best watched in the market. Sand And Stars has much more ability than a strike rate of 1 from 21 might suggest and having dropped significantly in the weights over the last 12 months, there are obvious each-way claims. A tough race with many in-and-out performers but we will chance Celtique to be on her best behaviour again.
