Verdict

SHIFTING STAR won this last year and is only a pound higher. The veteran continues to keep Father Time at arm’s length and notched a 17th career success over course and distance last month so can’t be ignored. Jumping Jack’s win at Brighton was over 7f but he stays this extra furlong, though has a penalty to carry. Armagnac is still a maiden but has solid place claims while Fit For The Job has a chance of reversing recent form with the selection on better terms. Ross Raith Rover and Mezzotint, who can’t get much lower in the weights, could also go well but Whispered Kiss has been doing her winning on the all-weather in Class 6 events and ran poorly on her previous try here on Turf.
