        Verdict

        QUICKSTEP LADY (NAP) improves with each run and it will be a surprise if Andrew Balding’s nicely-bred filly doesn’t finally get her head in front today. The danger is probably Brunel's Boy, who wasn’t beaten far over this trip at Chepstow last time but has probably run his best race so far over 7f. Winter Halo hinted at ability in a couple of runs in June while Expedient has had wind surgery since his fourth at Kempton, though the champion prefers the selection.
