In depth

Verdict

The first three-year-old hurdle of the year in Ireland. Longclaw has been disappointing since returning from the USA but is still rated 84 on the level. Dazzling Darren completed a hat-trick of all-weather victories when Gavin Cromwell sent him to the UK but JEFF KIDDER has improved massively in his last two starts on the Flat, beaten narrowly in both, so gets the nod though dual Flat winner Calidus Mirabilis hails from a yard that can do no wrong so has to be respected. Belgoprince, a winner on the Flat in France, may do best of the remainder.
