In depth

Verdict

Shared Dreams should be up to winning this race with Almost Innocent and Pine Cone appearing the most dangerous of those to have seen the racecourse. Shared Dreams finished infront of Almost Innocent on their previous start at Salisbury. They were both unfortunate to run into a smart performer in Teeba and having examined the race in some detail, it is difficult to see the form reversing between the pair. Pine Cone is a rare flat runner for Alan King. She acquitted herself to the task on her debut at this course although from a time perspective, the clock was well off standard. Backers of Halliard will be interested to see how Pugilist got on earlier in the day at Bath before depositing their cash on Henry Cecil's filly. Spectral Star is a half-sister to 2003 Irish 2,000 Guineas runner-up France and is noted in the betting. Singalong is similarly watched after a three month absence. An intriguing race in prospect and one that should go to Shared Dreams on all known form.
