Verdict

On open-looking finale featuring five previous course and distance winners. Mister Mayday got back to winning ways at Leicester two weeks ago but the handicapper appears to have a grip on Fleckerl at present. Divine Law and Tunnel Creek may also be too high in the weights and Unison disappointed when favourite at Goodwood in August. Clovelly Bay ran his best race to date in that race, however, and enters the equation though three-year-olds have won all three previous renewals of this. DOUBLE HEAVEN came good on his handicap debut at Sandown and has only been raised 3lb.There is more to come from Ed Walker's gelding, though a market move for the returning Revolutionist would have to be taken seriously.
