Verdict

Englishman won this last year when a pound higher but today’s conditions may not be as suitable. Diamond Lady arrives off the back of a win at Brighton and, despite a 7lb rise, is likely to be thereabouts again. Bahamian Sunrise can’t get much lower in the weights and is partnered by a 7lb claimer but the lightly-raced Harry's Bar will have to prove he handles the going. PRIVATE MATTER ran a nice race on his reappearance here four weeks ago and should be sharper today. He won at Catterick last year when 2lb higher so gets the vote, though Blackheath is another who will strip fitter for a recent outing and can’t be ignored.
