In depth

Verdict

A most uninspiring contest that is no better than a seller and makes little appeal as a betting medium. According to the BHB handicapper, Mallard has a little to find on these terms but is at least in form having scored off a similar mark at Wolverhampton and, being lightly raced, is open to a degree of improvement. Second Paige would have good claims on the pick of last season's form but has been well below his best of late but Cupboard Lover has beein in winning form over hurdles during the winter and can't be discounted on his return to the level. In a weka event, Look First is also capable of going close if reproducing his latest effort.
