In depth

Verdict

Crystal King is eased in grade but has been racing over longer trips. Like a few of these, Torcello probably has a campaign over hurdles mapped out but he’s won his last two at Newbury and Epsom on rain-softened ground. Lightly Squeeze won on soft going over a similar trip at Haydock when returning from a length absence but is 6lb higher now. Escapability still awaits a first victory while useful jumper Chesterfield is having a first run since landing a novice chase at Kempton 11 months ago. Fannie By Gaslight looks in good form but DRAGONS VOICE could the interesting one back over the course and distance over which he was successful in June as he has run better than the results suggest the last twice and will relish ground conditions.
