Verdict
None of the quintet sparkled last time to say the least but Splendent is the least exposed of the field and made a perfectly satisfactory return to action at Haydock last month when sixth of 13. He was possibly unlucky not to have finished closer and is fairly treated on the best of his form. However, BUCEPHALUS has a useful win on the board this season under today's promising apprentice and it was no surprise to see him struggle upped to Class 2 level at Newmarket latest. He's back to Class 4 level now and should give a good account with Rose Dawes value for her claim. Noble Masquerade has disappointed on his last five outings but is down to a good mark as a result and Buick is booked. Hy Brasil and Downsman are hard to make a case for at present.
