In depth

Verdict

Poet's Society represents Mark Johnston, who has his two-year-olds in good form, though hasn't had a winner from that age group at this track in the last 11 attempts. By contrast, the Hannon yard enjoy plenty of success here so the speedily-bred Mr Scaramanga has to come into the reckoning. But FULL INTENTION gets the speculative vote given he is a brother to Group 3 winning sprinter Quiet Reflection and the latter also made a winning debut. Iftitah's half-brother Dutch Mist won three times last year and Awesome Allan may prove best of the rest.
