In depth
Verdict
Ed Dunlop's juveniles are in great form at present and his colt High Command can land this decent contest from Elusive Warrior and Veba. The selection was quietly fancied for the Chesham after showing plenty of promise on his debut behind Brenda Meova. He wasn't beaten too far behind the winner Championship Point in the Royal York event and should go close back in maiden company. On a strict form line Elusive Warrior has the beating of the selection and he was only three lengths behind Championship Point on his Newbury debut. However he was beaten at odds on next time and so may not be one to trust. The pick of the newcomers could be the Barry Hills trained Veba, a well bred son of Black Minnaloushe, who will no what is required for his racecourse debut. This could turn out to be an above average maiden and High Command could have the class to win first prize.
