Verdict

Richard Hannon runs two with FABRIC the preference. Keen on debut when a well-backed fourth at Newmarket, she may prove a different proposition on quicker ground and with the benefit of that experience under her belt. That HQ race has worked out well with the second, stable companion Paulownia, bolting up in impressive fashion at Ascot on Saturday. The other Hannon contender, Express, came home nicely under a hold-up ride on debut and looks a definite improver too, whilst Mr Pocket makes most appeal of some interesting newcomers on paper. The prime danger to the selection though should be Kyllang Rock, who finished well after a tardy start on debut at Yarmouth in the race won by subsequent Windsor Castle Stakes winner, Ardad. He should come on a bundle for that and Andrea Atzeni is booked.
