      Verdict

      Second twice here in May, Spring Bloom was a bit disappointing at Newmarket last month and does struggle to get his head in front. Four of these are previous winners at the track but La Roca Del Fuego is returning from a break following a busy winter campaign. Grandfather Tom is preferred to The Princes Poet but GHERKIN has made giant strides over the last nine months and followed up a win here last month with a good fourth at Kempton. He gets the nod over Astral Beat, who is best on the all-weather.
