Verdict

ELA GORRIE MOU is taken to beat the consistent Red Yarn and My Best Bet, with the unexposed Hidden Fire adding a fascinating angle to this contest. Robert Winston's mount looked unfortunate not to finish a good deal closer off this mark last time. That was in a competitive class three contest after she'd won over course and distance and she doesn't look handicapped out of winning up just 4lbs now eased in grade. Conditions clearly suit and this versatile filly can go in once more by beating Red Yarn. Gary Moore's filly remains a maiden but there doesn't appear much wrong with her attitude, so a big run is expected now she's dropped down to what should prove her ideal trip of a mile. My Best Bet needs fast ground on turf and has a good turn of foot for the grade so can't be ruled out, despite having plenty of weight to carry. Hidden Fire showed good speed to take a seven furlong polytrack maiden despite being bred for further and it'll be very interesting to see how she gets on now tried in a handicap off what would appear a fairly generous mark of 73. Levitation hasn't been seen for 196 days so may need this but impressed when winning her maiden last time and should have more to offer back in handicap company having been rated higher in the recent past, Vegas Palace has an even greater absence to overcome and won a poor maiden when last seen while Russian Rave looks held off this mark, so we'll return to Ella Gorrie Mou.
