Verdict

Sir MIchael Stoute won this last year so the Dylan Thomas filly Northern Meeting is one to keep an eye on as is Sir Henry Cecil's Gertrude Gray, a daughter of Hurricane Run. Neither holds any fancy entries, however, while Jazz Master, though attracting heavy support on his debut over this track and trip, looked in need of a stiffer test. LEGAL WAVES made a highly promising debut at Newmarket in October and was expected to make a winning reappearance at Epsom but found the 1m1f trip inadequate, though he would probably have won with a clear run. He can make amends though Glorious Protector looks a threat as he's bred for middle-distances and was staying on strongly at the end of a mile at Newbury last month.
