In depth

Verdict

This is an interesting maiden and one that a lot can be learnt from with Cheerleader getting only a tentative vote ahead of One To Win, Carisolo, Roman Villa and Imlaak. Cheerleader's Sandown second last time brings him firmly into the equation from those that have seen the racecourse and his stable is in good form. One To Win has won shown plenty of promise in two runs and has to be considered on his Turf debut. Carisolo is a beautifully-bred daughter of Dubai Millennium and warrants plenty of respect, while stablemate Antoinette has shown promise in two starts. Roman Villa is from a stable producing winners and has also shown promise, while Ninth House is of interest from John Gosden's stable. Penny Island ran quite well on his handicap bow last time and Imlaak is a well-bred son of Giant's Causeway, while Admiral's Cruise hails from a very good American family. As we say, it's an interesting finale, with the vote going to Cheerleader.
