Verdict
Chepstow winner Marengo will handle the ground but like a few of these is unproven over a longer trip. That's not the case with maiden winner Westerley, but he was still well beaten when runner-up at Musselburgh last time and BELLA VARENNA is preferred. The latter is 3lb higher than when scoring on the Polytrack in July but Marco Botti's filly has plenty of scope for further progress. Travis Bickle and Cincinnati Girl step up class after recent placed efforts while handicap debutants Gleese The Devil and The Gay Cavalier are others to note.
