Verdict
Recent course winner Castleshane is sure to have his followers, but he had an easy lead here last Monday and he is sure to have others trying to take him on here. Bonaguil has been disappointing this year, but if there is sufficient rain he could well come into the reckoning. Burgundy cannot be left out of calculations, neither can Miss Pitz, despite her below par effort at Warwick. She may have found that effort coming too soon after her victory the previous day at Ayr. Freshened up since then, it would come as no surprise if she bounced back to form, but the vote goes to the enigmatic Celtic Ballet, who has more ability than she has cared to show this term. This sharp, turning track, should be ideal to keep her interested and she is taken to gain an overdue success.
