Verdict

APRIL FOOL hasn't won over this trip and was beaten in a similar race to this at Kempton in February. However, he generally sets the pace as he did when landing 7f handicaps at Lingfield and Warwick earlier this month and is well clear on official ratings. The three-year-old Indian Shuffle looks a big threat after finally breaking his duck at Bath where the very fast ground suited. He's on the upgrade and can go close while Getcarter has competed at a higher level than this and gained a C&D success a year ago. The remainder have plenty to find if they are to get competitive.
