        Verdict

        Cordial is sure to be a popular vote ahead of fellow improvers, Adventurist and Haile Selassie. The Prescott team look to have unearthed a useful set of handicappers at the moment and the recent winner of a Redcar handicap will be difficult to beat off a six pound penalty. Adventurist is still unexposed and hails from another in-form yard. A step up in trip should not inconvenience. Haile Selassie has performed creditably this term but today represents a step up in class. Raoul Dufy has had many many chances this term and looks plenty exposed off the current handicap mark. Matabele is incredibly flattered by bare form figures. Leonor de Soto was campaigned in selling grade last year and will need to have improved in order to land this prize. Broughton Spirit is watched in the market.
