Verdict

ear Maurice has a penalty for a recent win but this progressive four-year-old is fancied to win again at the main expense of fellow recent winner Willow Dancer and Rambling Light. The selection won well recently over course and distance on his handicap debut. The way that he won on that occasion suggests that a penalty will not be enough to stop him and eh gets the vote to win again. Willow Dancer also impressed last time, and he looks as if the penny is starting to drop, whilst Namid Reprobate and Robert The Brave should both improve for recent pipe-opener's. Danski, a course and distance winner can run better than recent efforts, whilst Australia Day ran well in defeat last time and has claims. Bivouac missed an intended engagement recently but if is all is well then he can run a big race off a nice weight, however it is Dear Maurice who is taken to win again.
