Verdict

PROVERB was very green in his first two starts over 6f but dropped back to this trip at Hamilton and made most for a very convincing victory. He has to concede 12lb to Radio Goo Goo, which won't be easy as David Evans' filly has been narrowly beaten in her last three starts on the all-weather and will be winning soon. Lulworth Cove was last of five at Salisbury but didn't perform badly and will have come on markedly for the experience. Desert Fighter only faded a furlong out when tackling 6f on his debut here in August.
