Verdict

This could come down to a trio being involved at the finish, with LETHAL GLAZE being the pick on the shortlist, in preference to Cosimo and Recession Proof. Richard Hannon's charge is having his first run of the year, and bids for a hat-trick after winning over slightly shorter trips back in the autumn. The step up is a positive, and he looks the one to be on as long as he can keep on the straight and narrow after hanging to the left last time. There was some cut in the ground on both occasions he won, and the anticipated rain will further enhance his chances. Cosimo's best run came second time out at Great Leighs, and comes here for his handicap debut at a trip that's new to him. He may find the step up in trip and grade too tough today though. Recession Proof is a rare runner here for Simon Callaghan and makes his turf debut. A win and two thirds in his last three outings in nurseries have shown there's some talent there, and if handling the ground, could be a major player. However, our preference in this is for Lethal Glaze.
