Soap Wars returned to action after a long break to score over the C&D last May so an absence since October shouldn't be a problem though he's untested on this sort of ground, a remark that also applies to Caldercruix. Kingsdine won't mind the going but is high enough in the weights unlike We Have A Dream, who should go well back in this company after being well beaten in a better race at Epsom. ITALIAN TOM is a real credit to Ron Harris having won 11 of his 51 races including at Ascot and Doncaster last month. He didn't get a clear run over the minimum trip at Sandown last time and with regular pilot Darren Egan taking over he can return to winning ways. Cocohatchee made all for a convincing success in an apprentice contest on soft ground at Salisbury last week and escapes a penalty so has to be on the short-list.
