Verdict
The in-form Park Star has proved she handles this surface and is taken to follow up her recent Hamilton victory, with Tamarello providing the biggest threat. Derek Shaw's filly won twice at Southwell in January and proved she is equally as effective on turf when justifying favouritism in a classified stakes at Hamilton last time. With just a four pound penalty for that success, she looks the safest bet here. Tamarello beat the consistent Blessed Place at Bath recently, and should confirm form with that rival again here. She ran arguably even better when third at Chester last time, and has good claims on that form although there are doubts about her ability on a soft surface and any rain might hinder her chances. Captain Cloudy showed signs of ability in three starts last year and makes his handicap debut here on a reasonable mark, so could be capable of a decent run at a good price and is one for each-way consideration.
