Verdict

Illusion is our selection in this quality affair with Russian Empress and Broken Moon offered up as alternatives. John Gosden's charge looked badly in need of the experience at Great Leighs on debut and whilst it was of some concern that she tended to hang quite badly, her race was a fair one in spite of those quirks. Russian Empress looks first string of the Sir Michael Stoute team. The sister to Russian Rhythm will make a fantastic breeding prospect and connections will be keen to get her to the paddocks. Broken Moon has been tried on both soft and fast surfaces. She will qualify for a handicap after this effort. Red Dune set out to make all at Doncaster on debut. This is a hot race for a comeback. Eureka Moment was well touted ahead of her recent outing at Warwick. This is a hotter contest. Storope looks sure to leave behind her Leicester debut last season. Lee Miller is a beautifully bred sort and connections have taken their time to get to the racecourse. A half-sister to Greek Revival, she could be anything. Plumage ran much better than her odds suggested at Lingfield in December and of those at bigger odds, she has place claims. The market will be key in deciding betting strategy and in the absence of it, we put forward Illusion.
