In depth

Verdict

OSLO has yet to win on Turf but this looks his big chance. His close third at Nottingham last month has worked out well and he was a very unlucky loser racing off this mark at Lingfield last week. Fierospeed finished ahead of Highwaygrey when third last time at Doncaster while the consistent Semper Augustus appeared to handle the step up to this trip at Newbury. Rafiki’s stamina will have to be taken on trust, however. Gaheris is the dark horse making his handicap debut after victory in a Leopardstown maiden and he clearly warrants plenty of respect given his progressive profile.
