In depth

Verdict

Three of these improved significantly from debuts when posting runner-up efforts that augured well for the future. Not Bad For A Boy's Haydock performance reads better than those of Tango Sky and Otto The Great and he should go close on a course where his yard perform well. However, a chance is taken with SPUNKY who can come on considerably for a C&D debut and score. He didn't receive a hard time in a contest that didn't really pan out his way and appears an assured improver. Sir Michael Stoute unveils Duke Of Firenze from the Cheveley Park production line and the Pivotal colt is certainly one to note for the future whatever his fate here.
