In depth
Verdict
MAYPOLE has been thereabouts off similar marks since landing a double back in May. This looks easier than when fourth at Chelmsford a fortnight ago and the Hannon colt should make a bold bid. Nothing stands out among the remainder though Optimum Time finished in front of Sir Plato when scoring over track and trip before a modest effort at Brighton. Kalagia has come up short in three subsequent starts since winning at Bath last month.
