Verdict
Blaise Hollow was good value for his win at Newmarket last time but Roger Charlton's colt has more to do off a 7lb higher mark today and preference is for Front Stage, who gets the vote ahead of Oligarch. The last mentioned won well at Nottingham earlier this month but struggled under his penalty at Newmarket on Friday night and may do so again. Top weight Jonquil showed improved form at Goodwood last time but is unproven on anything other than fast ground and any further rain may hinder his chance. Foxhaven may be worth another chance following his effort at Sandown last time but a chance is taken on Sir Michael Stoute's Lingfield all-weather winner Front Stage, who looks to be on a fair mark for his debut in a handicap and should improve for the step up in trip.
