Verdict
Richard Hannon's name is synonymous with Windsor maidens and the East Everleigh handler has amassed another strong team of juveniles. He saddles two here and LUCKY GENERAL is marginally preferred to Dubai Set but they do face some interesting adversaries. Dubai Set is related to a useful juvenile and shaped with promise behind a stablemate over this course and distance; he's entitled to improve for the run and should go well. The Newbury maiden in which the selection made his debut appeared to be a useful contest at the time and that impression was backed up when the beaten favourite and third home went on to fill the same position in the Chesham Stakes. Lucky General was only beaten 4 lengths into fifth and wouldn't need to find too much improvement in order to take an average maiden. Belinsky made a satisfactory introduction behind a Hannon trained winner and could be a factor whilst Regal Rave, Wellington Fair, Woodface and Yarra River are all newcomers to note but they'll need to be useful to get the better of Lucky General.
