Fire Fighting outstayed Knights Table and Passover, who is worse off at the weights, over 1m4f at Newmarket earlier in the month and can be forgiven a subsequent run at Sandown, where he blew the start. Majeed finished ahead of Berkshire in a Group 3 at Goodwood last month so warrants a mention but Tashaar has clearly had his problems as he hasn't been seen since running poorly in Qatar at the start of the year. SECOND STEP (NAP) escapes a penalty as it's just over a year since he won a Group 1 in Germany. He's raced almost exclusively at the top level since and should have too much for these, though the fitting of blinkers is a bit of a worrying sign.
