        Verdict

        In what is not the strongest of maidens, Phrenologist may be up to making a wining debut, with Jahangir and Walker Bay the best to those who have raced so far. James Fanshawe looks to have found a soft opportunity for his gelding who is by Mind Games out of Double Schwartz and therefore blessed with plenty of speed in his pedigree. By all accounts he has been working well enough at Pegasus Stables to make a winning debut. The opposition do not look up to much although Walker Bay is a bit of an unknown quantity, having moved from Dubai where he was trained by Paddy Rudkin. He is best watched, and a bigger danger may be Jahangir who has plummeted down the ratings since his two-year-old days and who ran fairly well at Lingfield three weeks ago. This is there for the taking though and as the rest are all fully exposed, Phrenologist is the pick.
