In depth

Verdict

Be Perfect ran below par last time having won at Doncaster before that but has an apprentice’s allowance helping his cause today. However, VISION CLEAR is less exposed and, after scoring over today’s trip at Beverley last month, Ed Dunlop’s charge is fancied to make another bold bid in a weak-looking handicap. Great Beyond was well beaten at Newmarket on his handicap debut while Restive’s earlier double on the all-weather came on the Fibresand at Southwell.
