In depth
Verdict
Jilly Why is selected here ahead of Bold Indian and Wadnagin. Jilly Why may have been raised nine pounds for her recent six-furlong course win but, with winning Turf form over today's trip from a higher rating than today, she gets the vote. Bold Indian has also won from a higher mark on Turf and the drop back in trip from most recent all-weather runs looks interesting, while Wadnagin still looks competitive under his penalty for a last-gasp course and distance success as she seeks a third-successive win. The lightly-raced Obe Royal cannot be ruled out as he returns to the all-weather for the first time in five runs, while Sedge and Hessian have to improve from their revised marks since winning if they are to land the spoils. Once again, then, the selection is Jilly Why.
