        Verdict

        A wide-open fillies handicap here with many out of form sorts in opposition. However something has to win and the principals look to be Zagala, Tigress and Amelia and we will side with Zagala. The four year old was a fair third behind Pants last time over a longer trip and if she is as effective over this shorter distance she will be hard to beat. Tigress is another that could go well but all her best form is over five furlongs so she is opposed for that reason. Amelia is also worthy of respect as she was a fair second behind Noble Locks last time - form that looks rock solid in the context of this race, so she could go well off what looks a fair mark. Of the remainder: Playful Spirit is proven over the trip and is in form having won well last time when defeating Heathyardsblessing . However, this is more competitive and he may struggle under his penalty so we are happy to side with Zagala.
